If I had a Horse with Wings

My attempt at poetry, my "epn name" is 'Lilac Adams'.
Not my REAL name of course, but I wanted something fancy to sign it with besides "Captain Danny" and I don't want to give out my actual full name. In case you can't see it to read it:

If I had a horse with wings,

I'd fly to the place where the angels sing,

And chase the eagles over the trees

And weave through the sails of ships at sea,

If I had a horse with wings.

I'd charge through mysterious darks and deeps,

And fly o're waterfalls in flying leaps,

And watch as land below went sailing by,

As I paved my path in the sapphire sky,

If I had a horse with wings.


I'd travel to distant lands, and far,

And see towers, and mosques, and exotic bazaars,

and hear the strum of Spanish guitars,

as I rode over the moon like a shooting star,

If I had a horse with wings.

I'd fly past the place where the thunder clouds run,

And follow the set of the westward sun,

And follow the light till the day is done,

See where the world ends, and where its begun,

If I had a horse with wings.

I'd weave through the treetops by gripping his mane,

Mountains, volcanoes and geysers we'd brave,

Our every enemy off we would stave,

We'd challenge the wind, and make speed our slave,

If I had a horse with wings.

I'd fly o'er the crest of a wave, where the white water flings,

And fly past the steeple, where the church bell rings,

And feel the joy, that freedom brings,

If I had a horse with wings.
